Community
driven
property
management
The pleasure of living is not only about having a
comfortable and high-quality living space, it also
has to do with the community you live in. The
contact with your neighbours and fellow residents,
especially in a residential complex, is an important
factor in a positive living experience. Especially for
the many international students and workers living
through Plaza Resident Services, who often have
to build a new social life in a new country, active
community management is of great value.
To encourage residents to contact each other and
thus foster a sense of community, residents can use
the various communal areas in the complexes. What
these spaces are varies from complex to complex,
but options include a communal meeting area, a
cinema, a karaoke corner and a communal study
area to get to know each other in a different way,
to get together, and to build a bond. An additional
advantage of these communal areas is that we
can keep our own living space relatively small and
thereby the rent relatively low.
But there is more, as caretakers, community
managers, and residents work together to organise
activities for and by residents. Varying from a BBQ in
summer to a weekly boot camp with residents, there
are plenty of initiatives and ideas. Plaza Resident
Services actively encourages residents to come up
with suggestions for activities, and where possible,
caretakers support residents with the organisation
or budget to carry out these initiatives. In this way,
recent months have included organising a New Year
drink with residents in Maastricht, a boot camp
with residents in Eindhoven, and organising a party
together with residents in Enschede.
In this way, living at Plaza Resident Services is
more than just a roof over your head, it encourages
residents to connect with each other and really form
a community together.
