In several places in the Netherlands, Monoma is involved in housing
vulnerable groups, such as economically homeless people, people seeking
urgent housing, but also Ukrainian refugees. For this last group, Monoma not
only takes care of property management of the complexes in a number of
municipalities, but also of social management, security and even catering at
the refugee housing locations.
This is also the case in the municipality of Hoorn, where Monoma manages
the housing complex in the former De Mix office building. This complex
provides temporary housing for 112 Ukrainian refugees and status holders. In
this project, Monoma is not only involved in property management, but also
takes care of the social management of the temporary housing complex. 'In
Hoorn, it's not just about the bricks. We also make a positive contribution to
the coexistence of very different groups of people.’
'In De Mix, we are happy to contribute to the accommodation of people who
had to leave hearth and home in haste because of the war. Not only that, De
Mix is also occupied by a group of people who are awaiting permanent housing.
For all these different people, we try to make their stay as pleasant as possible.’

vulnerable groups,
beyond bricks

“I applaud Monoma's efforts. After
all, they not only manage De Mix, but
also operate in other locations in our
municipality. At two locations there
is social management by someone
who can speak Ukrainian. And in
both places, the coexistence of those
different groups is going quite well.
Solid social management is crucial in
this respect to keep the atmosphere
good.”
